Hydraulic cylinders, pumps, valves and complete lift systems for tippers and trailers

Applications

Hydraulic systems by vehicle type

The same cylinder family behaves differently on a 4-axle tipper than on a side-tipping trailer. These are the vehicle types we configure for, with the components that are normally specified.

Hydraulic requirements change with the way a vehicle is loaded, raised and discharged. A construction tipper that empties twelve times a day asks something different from a side-tipping trailer that discharges a full load in one pass. The application pages below group the products we supply by vehicle type.

If your vehicle does not match any of these categories, describe it in the quote form: chassis, body, payload and the movement you need. Selection starts from the mechanics, not from a catalogue page.

Specifying a system

Four questions we always ask

What lifts?

A tipper body, a side-tipping trailer, a tanker shell or a car-carrier deck each need a different cylinder geometry.

How much load?

Rated payload and body length determine bore size, stage count and working pressure.

What drives it?

A gear pump through a power take-off is the standard solution; an electric power unit is used where no PTO drive is available.

Where does it work?

Mining and quarry work asks for extra protection against dust; high ambient temperature asks for attention to seal material and oil choice.

Tell us about the vehicle and we will size the system

Send the answers to the four questions above and our team will propose the configuration.
